Hello all -

I have purchased some Window Weld to reattach the convertible top window to the canvas. I came across a number of sites on the web in searching for the stuff where folks are using it to repair worn engine mounts, etc.

So my questions is - has anyone ever tried to use the stuff to repair a worn control arm (In lieu of replacing it). The material is a single stage urethane that dries into a rubber-type material, about the same sitffness as stock busings and mounts.

Thoughts? It wont take much of the tube to fix the window, so I thought about using the rest to see if I could restore my control arm bushings.

Car: It's been great to be part of the forum but I have moved on. Check the classifieds for some new OEM Nissan parts I am selling

Urethane comes in several densities, soft would be stock, hard would cause vibration. Not sure where window weld stands on that scale.
There are couple of urethane liquid pour motor mount repair kits available that might work. Google energysuspensionparts, their kit is $27. There would be some work needed to remove the failed rubber from the old bushing. I am going to get stock bushings ($20) and press them in place.
