Repair Shop in Berkeley, or Richmond

If you mean Richmond, VA good luck. Tried a couple of nearby places and they only made things worse. Figured it was time to try Nissan dealers. One local dealer wouldn't even talk about servicing my '93 and the other made it clear that if OEM parts were no longer available I would incur the labor cost and then be told no repair. I ended towing my car to Charlottesville (105 miles away) to find a Nissan dealer that would work on it.
I have heard that there's a small shop just outside Richmond (Griggs ZGarage) that specializes in Zs but having had bad experiences with small places in the past I opted for a dealer.
The Charlottesville dealer (Colonial Nissan) wasn't cheap but did a great job getting it right.
