Repair of ABS on 1996 Primera

My car was unused for over a year but in excellent condition, failed MOT due to ABS sensor and have been quoted £140 plus VAT for part and extra for labour. Am trying to find out if able to get repair carried out cheaper. Car is in too good a condition and has very low mileage that would rather repair than sell and other than the ABS problem all is OK! If any help available would really appreciate it.

Did they say which ABS sensor it was? They are pretty easy to replace, and you could probably find one online for less than what they want you to pay.

It is the rear right sensor, can you give me a site to look at for the replacement sensor? Am pleased to know that could possibly be repaired cheaper and would like to get it done a.s.a.p. If you can help i would be really grateful, cheers.

Looks like it is going to be about that expensive... seeing as how you are overseas, I can't really help with anywhere to get it besides the link I provided.

OK no worries, thanks very much for replying i am very grateful. Fingers crossed i may be able to sort it cheaper but if not it is well worth spending the money because i love the car and would hate to part with it!
