As far as I know every J30 came with a service manual in its' trunk compartment, in addition to the glovebox owner's manual. There are larger versions of the manuals, but that is all they are, just bigger.
The J30 shares a number of parts (mainly engine) with the 1990-1996 300Zx model years, so I've been tempted to look into their after-market manuals, but never have. I do often consult/save the on-line parts diagrams on the Courtesy Nissan site and there are fair amount of Z32/J30 related how-to instructions on-line.
