Repair Driveshaft Propeller Shaft

My driveshaft (Propeller Shaft) 08 nissan rogue SL AWD is bad, and makes the car vibrate in low speed, and nissan wants $1103.00 to replace the hole unit. Can I replace just the Universal joint that is bad, and save a buck or two? Or is unserviceable and have to be the entire unit?
And If I want to fix it myself, which U-Joint to buy?

$1103 doesn't sound too bad. Call other dealers and see what they would charge, if you find a lower price as your dealer to match it.

Other you could buy the parts yourself, make sure those are the correct ones, and have another mechanic do it for less.
