repaint the hood or buy a fiberglass hood?

the hood on my car is f'd up so which is worth doing repainting it or should i bu fiberglass hood the fiberglass hood is 500 shipped not sure how much to paint it would cost BTW my car has 134,xxx miles and is a 2001

I'd get a couple estimates from different body shops. I would think you could get the stock one repainted for about the same amount.

fiberglass is junk if you get a lot of sun and heat - it bakes the paint and makes it look like **** - i know, i had a car with a whole fiberglass body.check our local junk yards for stock replacement in the same color.

i agree...check a few shops and make sure they are using quality paint

why don't you look into carbon fiber? shouldn't be much more expensive and would go nicely with your car's color.

Grey lustur bought touch up paint for it and it was a wrong color so i rubbed the clear coat off and now it look like s#!t
