Hey guys,(and gals) My rear hubs are starting to make nice roaring sounds when a lateral load is presented to them. My question to you is wether I can repack them or will I have to get the whole hub assembly. Damn 5 lug hubs, my '91 hubs with 180,000 miles on them lasted longer than these '95 hubs.

try to see if you can't get ahold of the wheel bearings. generally you can press the bearing out of the knuckle and then press in newly packed bearings back into the knuckle. I personally don't know if you can just repack the bearing itself and then reinstall it, but I can almost bet that a bearing has been deformed if it's making noise

You can just press out the old crapped bearing assembly and press in a new one. The hub should be still good, unless that is deformed due to stress.

Thank you for your responses. I will order some bearings and look into getting a machine shop to press out and in the bearings.
