Hello guys.

i have been experiencing this "click click" noise everytime i turn my steering wheel slowly.. . i finally brought my car to a mechanic shop today and he told me that it might be my front left bushing or stablizer that's loose/ worn out..

so here i am just wondering if anybody has ever experiecen the same sympton on their G35 ..... if yes.. can the noise be eliminated simply by replacing the stablizer or the bushing??

lastly.. anybody has an idea how much am i looking at to replace these parts?? is there any reputatble aftermarket brands for this??!!

sorry tio throw bunch of questions here without much contributing...but i do come here and check all the new posts everyday. .

The only way you become an active member is to start posting, so no need to be sorry. You're on your way.

If I knew the answer off the top of my head, I'd tell you. I'll see what I can find, and post back. Maybe one of the other guys might know.

Go to junk yard, pick out part with your mechanic, and fix existing car. Much cheaper that way. Click, click noise is usually worn CV joint or damaged/worn bushings on lower control arm. How old is your G35, and do you have many bumps or uneven road surface where you live and work? Are you the first owner of the car?

Don't worry abourt the CV's...its only for front wheel drive.

Give us the info on your car: year, make, drivetrain, miles, etc

I replaced my strut mounts on the front end, they would wobble over bumps.

As for you with the click during turning, its possibly a bushing, but that is not a major issue on these cars. Tie Rod maybe?

hello.. thanks for your reply. .

my rear used to make this "clunk clunk" noise when i go over a pothhole and i had both rear endlinks replaced under the warranty which succesfully eliminated the sound...

but this time my front left is making a different sound.. like i said before, it sounds more like "click click click" rather than "clunk clunk" and it only happens when i turn the steering wheele.. so i guess that's most likely the bushing ...??....

i have a 04 G35 Coupe 5AT with 94800km ....

also.. do you have any ideas how much would it cost me to replace the bushing??.. i hope it's not an arm and a leg....

last but not least.. if i just leave it unfixed.. will my car become un-drivable or not able to turn after a while?!?!

thanks again fior your help, much appreciated..

My guess (tierod) is because I have never heard of bushings going out. You can call your dealer parts/service counter and ask them. Bushings will normally wear out but not a for a while. Rubber needs time to crack and break. Plus, a bushing would likely be heard more than just when turning.

If bushings go bad, it will just sounds really bad and put a little extra strain on the suspension.

If the tierod goes out completely you wont be able to drive.

Call the dealer and i bet they'll guess tierod.

thanks for the tips.. so if the tierod that you were referring to in your post is equivalent to the "strut rod" listed on Riverside Infitini online shopping site.. then to replace it would cost me over US$175 jsut for the part??!?

No, it will be listed as a tie-rod.

If you're going to buy from Riverside Infiniti, just call them and ask for Tony. Tell him Nathaniel referred you and briefly describe your situation.

Outer Tie-Rodshttp://www.infinitipartsonline...gid=0

You'll need to know which one it is.... left, right, inner, or outer

I know my lower control arm bushings are shot. Need to replace bushing and not the entire arm/bushing assembly. Any services in AZ for this? Dealer says can only replace bushings with hardware. I don't think so.
