Renault scenic - any relation..?

Anybody know if the NA Versa is related to the current Renault Scenic sold in Europe? Pics look similar. Though I think Scenic is more up market judging by equip level.

The Versa's twin in Europe is the Renault Clio. Both are "B" segment vehicles. The Scenic uses the same powerplant (reason why first gear and final drive are so low). It's a larger platform that I belive is shared by the Magane and possibly related to the Sentra.
