^^; The current generation Renault Megane in the vid. was released in 2002, so it would be the other way around. They do look kind of similar though, with a less "aggressive" rear end.

I read in an article that the Versa did take some aspects from the renault. Oh, btw thats a funny comercial

I think this the Renault's version of the Versa.

It does look somewhat like the Versa(B platform) but it shares the same platform as the Sentra(C platform).

i own a 04' Renault Megane RS 5 door and its one of the reasons i bought a versa, even though the power(is a joke) and looks similar thats about it, interior is differnt but is close, the rear is really differnt, and the suspension is also close but nothing will fit directly, ive already measured, lol the suspension in my megane is very nice, although haveing both whenever i travel back to honduras and i get to drive the megane i wish i had the versas softness on some of the bad roads, but here i wish i had the megane all the time, lol. but also one thing that i do wish would work is the braking system, the megane has four large-diameter discs (312mm ventilated at the front and 300mm at the rear, 28mm at the front and 11mm at the rear)and 4- piston calipers in front, it also has traction control and understeer control logic witch helps alot with the power, its to bad the versa doesnt make that much and still get the mpg the megane does(about 26mpg normal but it can suck gas when you have a lead foot) ahh anyway i think ive typed to much im getting confused lol but it was a good video too...
