Ok, I would like about the clutch dampener, and yes i have used the search button an found nothing useful.

Here is what I would like to know:

What does the clutch dampener do?

What will happen if I remove it?

Will it give power or something if removed?

Does anyone have pictures or instructions on how to remove it?

thanks.

You already asked this in your thread... Why dont you wait till the person you asked has answered before making a new topic???

WTF is the matter with people?

Edit: I see you waited a WHOPPING 13 minutes to make this thread from the time you asked your question...

No one still answered the question in either post.I asked a simple question and wanted a simple answer. If I ever see someone ask a stupid question, I think about how dumb it was in my head, but I do not be so mean as to harass the person for making a simple mistake. I just want to know one thing, I am not destroying your forums, I am only a nice kid asking for advice on his car.I just dont see why all the hate and how people feel they must act tough on forums?I mean its a forum! dont act so mad all the time.

What does the clutch dampener do?

It makes it so you cannot feel the road as much, it 'dampens' the feeling of everything so to speak. A comfort thing, like soft bushings or something.

What will happen if I remove it?

You will feel the road more and feel more input from the car and the clutch will be much easier to bleed because you don't have thta place to get air caught.

Will it give power or something if removed?

No, but it feels better.

Does anyone have pictures or instructions on how to remove it?

There are 2 bolts holding the dampener (12mm?) a hard clutch line to remove (going from master cylinder to dampener, 10mm) and the rubber line, which is another mounting bolt and unscrewing it from the slave cylinder. You then replace that all with an SS clutch line. It goes form the hard line you unscrewed to the slave cylinder. You can either get a Nismo one (~$80) or a clutch line from the FC3S Rx7, that's 2nd generation. (~$20-25)

I just did this while doing a clutch install. Very easy and I used an SS line from an FC3S.

thanks.
