hey, hows it going guys? i am new to the forum, il start off by saying hi, glad to join and look forward to the informative threads.i was wondering if anyone knows about removing that yellow fog light lens cover? i just bought some blue fog light bulbs but it just ends up coming out yellow from the lens. so is there any way i can take it out or would i have to find some type of clear cover lens (whole assembly). it is for a 99 qx4. any advice would be appreciated, thanks for listening.

Hey!! Welcome to NICO!You may be able to take it out, but you'd just have a bare bulb in there. If you had the time and money, you may look into whether or not the 95-96 240sx fogs are the same size -- they're also yellow, and probably made by Koito like other Nissan lights.

What I'm driving at here is that in some European countries, the 200sx had clear fogs while we had yellow -- if it fits, you could make it work in a QX4. Again, probably not cheap.

Hey, I'm trying. . haha

Another option may be to cut your fogs up a bit, after removing the yellow lense and fitting Hella micro DE foglights in there. . they look about the same size.

More work than I'd want to do, but it'd be a possibility.

I've been looking to do this as well. I accomplished making clear corners and have had them for a few years now. Next is the fog lights. My only guess is as was mentioned, to take the yellow lense out...then replace it with a clear one.

haha like takin' a trip back in time. I'm a big fan of your QX4.

Did you ever do a write up on how to ditch the amber reflectors in the corner lamps? I like Nissan's 90s clear corners, and I think they all look good but they added that one piece to make it US compliant. . I've so far been unable to get a price on Terrano Regulus corners -- but the guy said they'd be several HUNDRED dollars for a used set. . wtf.

No i never did get around to doing a write up for it...it's not like it was exactly a "clean cut job" haha And i priced the Terrano Regulus corners, it would have cost $850

Unless you high-center it down by the river lolBut honestly, I made it further back in there than the others would wanna go.

I'm proud that it required a Bobcat to remove it -- considering slapping a Bobcat decal on my rear bumper now.
