Removing trunk panels - any gotchas?

I'm thinking of adding backup distance warning sensors to my '07 M45 (anyone have a good recommendation on which kind?). To do this, I'll have to take off various interior panels in the trunk to access wires, etc. They seems to be held in place by plastic fasteners. Is there a trick to getting the panels off other than just pulling them off?
