Hey, so Im trying to remove the trim around the gauges of the cluster but im having some difficulty. I got everything unscrewed, and I dont have to worry about the steering wheel getting in the way because mine is quick release, but i cant get the gauges away from the trim. I'm trying to paint it because the guy I bought it from had it painted purple and Ive been upgrading the interior and would like it to match. Ive got a pic if anyone could please explain or show me how to do this by pointing it out in the pic I would greatly appreciate it.

Drop the steering column by loosening the two very long bolts under it. You might need a flash light to see them.

I just want to remove the purple trim from the cluster though, I figure if i can disconnect it I wont need to lower the steering column to get it out right? I Don't want to do any extra work if I can get it out without removing things

It takes like less than a minute to remove those two bolts.

It'll allow you to pull the steering column down more to remove the bezel and the cluster without the risk of breaking stuff.

If you want to do it without taking anything out then go for it. It might be easier for you that way, but I found dropping the steering column is the safest way.

Once you squeeze the bezel out and remove the screws holding the gauge cluster there should be four tabs or something holding the clear thing on.

Pop off the cover then you should be able to take it out. It should be pretty straightforward.
