I'm currently unbolting my engine to remove it (s13 with ka24de). I have i think 1 more bolt on the transmission it towards the top of it and it seems impossible to unbolt, any ideas or tips? Or do I need to pull the tranmission with the engine?

If you are talking about the bolt on the top center, then the easiest way I have found is to stand on the drivers side of the car and reach down with a ratchet -wrench between the motor and firewall. Good Luck

you can loosen the engien mounts and jack up the front of the engine like in nightkid's diy...VERY helpful. it definately is easier by far to hoist the whole engine out. youll be glad later when it comes time to put the transmission back into the block
