removing throttle body with drive by wire

hey everyone

I was wondering if anyone has tried removing and cleaning the throttle body with the drive by wire system. Does it hurt the module by removing the throttle body? Or should i just clean it with the throttle still attached

Just clean it with the throttle body still attached.
