hey wad pplz im new here im trying to find out how to Remove the Speed Governor on my 89 sohc 240sx i hit 115 all the time but after that it bang out so i be losing so much races so could yall plz tell me how i could get pass the Governor i been hearing to cut some wires on the transmission but i don't know so plz tell me what i can do iiight thxs

You can cut wires or get an auto ecu.



... welcome to the forum ... learn to drive a little slower, say under 3 digits.

so i can swap out my 97 manual ecu with a 97 auto ecu and everything will be the same minus the speed limiter?

Technically... yes. There have already been many people who have switched from manual to auto ecu on the s13 w/ no problems.

I am in the process of actually converting my wiring to go from auto -> manual ecu for a few diff technical reasons (I have a tcu, so I have special wiring).

I actually ran a manual ecu in my auto car for about an hour or so w/ no ill effects.

The ONLY thing I could think of that would be different would be the cold start and idle map - since auto idles a little higher I believe. Nothing the little screw adjuster in the engine bay can't fix.
