I found some write-ups that refered to butterfly clips...

The pictures are from a 1990.My 1994 has none of those.

Any walkthroughs on the sundeck removal for the 1994?I've been searching...stil nothing...

I have to replace the fuel pump now and I've heard that the easy way.

Last time in my 1993 Base Q45 I had to go back in after the dealer had forgotten to test the sending unit.So I replaced the sending unit.In the 1993 there was more room not as many computers.I didn't even remove the sundeck and the job sucked BAD...this time I want to remove the rear deck...

Wow you and I are working with the same schedule. Two weeks ago I replaced my water pump and fuel pump on my 1994 Q45. I carefully followed steps 8 through 10 in the attached doc that Tang created. Once your in there with the document everything makes perfect sense. In the doc I made a few notes in red. It took me about 1 hr 30 min working at a slow pace to get everything complete. Couple of things. Towards the end of the doc is a picture of all the attachement points for the sundeck. Pull the postive battery cable after clearing out the fuel pressure just to be safe.

Read my comments in Tangalora's fuel pump post.

Clips best released from inside trunk with needle nose mini pliers.

First time you take it out will be tough as those things are really wedged in their littel holes..
