I'm having troubles removing the tar or whatever it is. Wangless said to use dry ice but I don't know how it works and I don't know where to get it from.

Wanna give me some ideas on the fastest way you can take that crap off? My hammer and scrapper ain't cutting it.

The fastest way is to dump a tad of gasoline on the stuff and light it on fire.

EDIT: Oh... if you want to keep the car I would resort to one of the slower methods.

he is referring to the sound-deadening material. a friend of mine used a blow torch to remove the tar from his 85' bimmer, and it lifted up in big sheets.

why do you want to get rid of it?

If you want dry ice.... try a packing supply company. They use it to ship medical supplies, food products etc etc. Or maybe ask a theater company or something... they use it for fog machines.

I think its better because that tar stuff i think is more for heat then noise. You should see the tar in a 2000 civic for noise......

I am going to be trying out the dynamat stuff when i take my car apart.
