Has anybody removed their Clutch fan on the 87-95 pathys durring winter time? Im trying to get my truck to warm up quicker in these 15*f days, and I think I can do without the clutch fan untill it warms up.

Has anybody else ran with no fans durring very cold seasons?

If the vehicle idles for any extended period of time (after the engine is at normal operating temperature) then it will likely overheat. So say you got stuck in a traffic jam on the highway, you would have to shut the vehicle off every time you come to a complete stop. Also, if you get one warm day (say 45 degrees or so) then you would have to avoid driving the vehicle completely.

If you converted to an electric fan then it would have the benefit of remaining off during a cold startup but turning on when the engine got hot.
