i tried searching but didn't find much info, i moved my battery to the trunk and now the rusty battery tray is chilling there, it seems to be welded onto the frame or something so i abused it today as i read to do in a thread but i didn't really get it too loose..

any hints/tips for this? i took the battery's negative ground off i think there is another bolt to the right of it not sure what that hooks up to tho

TIA

I would pull that bolt and see what happens.

I removed mine. After all the the bolts are out you will have to drill out all the spot welds, about 15 of them, then pry it out of there. Its not really easy and you will bend ****.

you could just use an hand grinder to grind off the rails and make it smoth with the rest of the inner fender, or at least smoother..thats what im going to do when i get back to the states and start on my kat...

ya the battery tray is a real PITA. After trying to take it off nicely i got pissed at it and persuaded it with a crow bar and a cutting disc, not too pretty but its off.
