Hi, I'm thinking about taking the tail lights out in order to smoke them. I'm trying to make sure I have all of the tools necessary to do so; I know CodeRed's FAQ mentions using a socket wrench to get the two bolts off.

My question is; does anyone know what size socket wrench is needed for the bolts on the Versa's tail lights? I want to go get a specific wrench rather than a whole socket wrench set, if possible. Thanks,

CW

Just get a socket set and put the extension on it and try out different sizes.

get an extension, and an 8mm, 10mm, and 12mm. those three will get you around almost anything on a japanese car. taillights in particular i think only take the 10mm. but youll need an extension, or long sockets for sure.

If you don't have a socket set to begin with, it seems silly to avoid one. Individual sockets are actually pretty expensive when you compare them to a whole set.

Just makes sure to get long sockets...the screw attached to the lights are too long when you want to retighten the nuts.
