Removing Stock Shift Knob

Guys,

Want to replace the stock shift knob and was wondering how to go about removing it. Thanks for the help in advance. :biggrin:

cvt or manual?

if it's a cvt... pull the silver part down under shift knob...
then pull out the U shaped pin on bottom of shift knob, then it'll pull right up..

DO NOT lose the pin.. =)

Sorryb the car is a six speed manual. Should have noted that Duhhhhh!

i lost mine like 3 times when i was wrapping my canter piece in carbon fiber lol luckily found it though!!

it just screws off, twist it to the left and it will come off.

Does anyone know where to get an aftermarket automatic shift knob?

I didnt know it was that easy for the automatics. I really like the infiniti shift knob. the one in the new QX56, new M56, 2010 G37, etc. It has the same lever thing (to shift from P to D) in the front so I think it MIGHT fit perfect.

Make sure you get one that is reverse compatible for our shifters...
