removing stock airbox?

Hey I have all of the stock air intake off except the rubber piece that connects to the base. Anyone have any tips on lessening that back clamp? I cant get a socket wrench in there, the pliers aren't doing the job either, i thought most of those types of clamps were screwdriver removable but i guess not. Anyways any tip appreciated, this is the hardest intake install I've ever experienced.

it was a mofo for me to get off too. i had to use an 8mm wrench and take my sweet time doing it cause of room issues
