How do you guys remove them if you dont have air tools. I tried using a bar to gain more leverage and i still couldnt do it. Any advice would be awesome.

breaker bar and muscle. It should come loose.

BTW, head bolts are not something you want to use air tools... That is very very very dumb. You want to loosen this in small steps. Meaning you do not want to loosen them in one shot. You want to go quarter a turn at a time to each bolt and come back and to another quarter a turn and repeat.

Goto Sears...purchase 2 10mm 3/8 drive sockets...use a 1/2 to 3/8 adapter, the smallest extension you can fit, and the biggest breaker bar (or normal 1/2 drive wratchet with cheater bar) and turn them loose.

Why 2? Becuase when you snap one, you'll be ready for the rest...here's a picture of what I did to 2 of thse tools...

i think i have all the bolts off the head but i cant seem to get the back part of the head to move. The front part moves without much trouble but the back next to the firewall doesnt move. Is there any bolts between the firwall and the head?

There are total of 4 bolts in addition to the actual big head bolts.

There are two inside the head by the timing chain.

One right by the CAS

Another one on drivers side near the fire wall by the exh mani

I've had that problem too. If you have an shop crane hook it up to the head, get some tension on it and start tapping it with a rubber hammer. There are these tube's, sleeves, I don't know what you call them but they can get kind of stuck and keep the head on. I think they are to align the head correctly. But I just noticed that the motors still in the car so that might be a little tough to do. Hopefully it give you a place to start and come up with an idea.
