Removing shifter

How the hell do I remove the plate from teh transmission. I removed the 6 bolts on it....am I missing anyting? IT wont budge! BTw, I'm installing a B&M.

i believe theres still a sealant holding it down... so get a flat edge and pry it off

I've tried. I tried with a chizel and hammer too. I'm ruining the edge of the opening trying to pry it off.

get a razor blade and cut around it, itll help. then just pop the bish off

Pheww...I got pissed and gave it a good thor-like whack with a hammer and it succumbed to my fury. Thanks for the help guys.

It's pretty hard to get off, but it does just pull straight off.

6 bolts right?

The front two are the hardest-to-get-to bolts on the whole car....other than the PCV valve....and the rear two bolts on the valve cover....
