This might be a stupid question, but i've never had a manual car before. I have a 1995 Nissan 240sx, and i'm wondering how to replace the shift boot(the one that attaches to the knob).

First, you have to remove the shift knob. the boot itself is part of the trim ring around the boot IIRC. You'll have to remove that in order to remove the boot.

unscrew the knob then take the trim piece off by gently pulling it off. its held on with clips.when you get it off, youll need to unscrew 4 screws that are holding the boot on on the back of the trim piece.
