Ok so I have been looking around on some ways to do this and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. I live in humid hot florida and my altima coupe has rust on the cap right where the rim attaches the car. I have 19 in 5 spoke rims and you can see the rust from a mile away. I was either going to get some rust remover from the auto part store and try that with a wire brush then painting over it in black. I also read that using "extend rust converter" will turn the rust a black color then i could repaint over that. Anyone deal with this problem and have a success story?

Nope.

Wire wheel should do fine to get rid of the rust though, it's just surface rust anyway.

Just be careful to not sand the rotor... Masking tape the f*ck out of it.

You can use Por-15 and never worry about rust there again.

That stuff is ridiculous.
