removing rod bolt?

How the hell do you guy remove the old rod bolt from the connecting rod. its on a KA24DE. i need to replace a new set on these. THere no way of turning it. I was thinking of hammering it out? any suggestions?

rethread the nut back onto the bolt so that it is flush with the first thread, then beat the **** out of it...seriously.

the bolt will give way looong before the rod does.

Use a chunk of wood between the hammer and the bolt. The last thing you want to do is whack the rod directly with a metal hammer if you miss. A tiny ding can promote cracking. Better to use a hard platic mallet and bash the rod bolt. Even better to have the shop that is machining your rod to press out the bolt.
