What's the easiest way to do it? I don't wanna break the base of the mirror that attaches to the windshield or anything, so I don't want to stick a flathead under it until I know either that's what I'm supposed to do, or there's something else I have to do in order to get it off. Thanks.

Just taking a guess here...

Id imagine its held on by some kind of epoxy or other strong glue. Some heat and fishing line, kind of like if you were debadging should do it?

I wouldnt put a flat head to it, for risk of damaging the windshield.

Yeah I haven't actually tried but I don't think I'd end up doing the flathead method. But yeah, thanks for the tip I'll give it a shot.

It's not as hard as you'd think. First, heat it up with a heat gun. Make sure you don't get close enough to melt any plastics. Next, take a strong piece of fishing line and work it back and forth in a sawing motion between the mirror and the glass. It'll take some time, but it'll come off. Finish off with some acetone on a rag to remove the residue/goo gone.

This also works on those sticky GoPro mounts.
