Removing plastic scratches and abrasions from the trunk

Does anyone have suggestions for what grit sandpaper to use or any other way to get rid of them?
I got mine used and prev owner loaded a bunch of heavy crap in the cargo area.

I assume you mean the plastic in the cargo area?

You will never be able to repair the plastic so the scratches will disappear. Sanding the surface will just make it worse. Reason: The plastic is textured and you cannot easily reproduce the pattern.

Solution?

The best you can do is treat it with some 303 Protectant (available from boating stores) which will hide it somewhat.

Or you can spend the $$$ and replace the panels:

Hatch panel: $115
Left and right lower cargo area panels: $150/side
