Removing panel above the radio

I recently bought a Kenwood 5140 Nav/radio unit for our Rogue but want to just install the iPod cable for it now which plugs in on the back of the unit. Since I don't want to pay a shop for this fairly simple task, the panel above has to come off to get at the unit. So does anyone know how to remove that panel without damaging it.
