I removed the six bolt from one side of the differential but now I have the other side that is right above the exhuast. Do i have to remove the axle back to reach it?
what is the proper steps of removing the rear dif.

Remove the exhaust... then it's fairly simple.
1. Unbolt Axles2. Support Differential from Falling3. Unbolt Driveshaft4. Unbolt either the 2 or 4 Carrier Bolts5. Remove Differential
The diff weighs about 90 lbs. so be careful.
