ls there a easy way to remove motor on ka24de with out removing head

easier way? don't remove the headwho said you have to remove the head to remove the whole motor?

I actually found something that may be of some help seeing as I'm not going to go into great detail. since your not doing a swap you don't have to do every thing just do what applys to removing the engine read the text where the black and white pics are http://www.superstreetonline.c....html

just unclip everything, undo the mounts, drain coolant, power steering and pull it out. pretty simple. no head removal

My motor doesnt have lifting hooks so where would i put chains or straps to protect intake manifold

There are bolt holes the factory used. Two M8 metric threaded holes on the back right head and two more on the left front of the head. they will do fine to lift the motor out. The motor and transmission are very light for an iron block. If you have a paranoia you can also wrap a strap up to the intake manifold. It's always smart to also use an engine leveler. This takes about 30 mins from start to finish.

Alternatively, you can do it the HARD way and take the engine out from the bottom.
