Help, please before I set my new truck on fire!

I recently bought the above truck with a blown engine, but was lucky enough to buy a running motor for it, almost immediately. The only problem is that I can't seem to get my old motor out... I've got it all unbolted from the transmission, but can't get the oil pan over the cross member ... am I suppers to be unbolting the front cross member, removing the transmission too, or WHAT? Of course I'm as anxious as a school girl to be driving it which doesn't help, but I just need to know what the heck am I doing...

thank you!

We do have downloadable service manuals here. I have never removed the engine from my old 4x4, but I remember there being little clearance between the oil pan and surrounding stuff, you might need to remove some of it.
