I want to replace the intake manifold gasket with a thermal one.

Any tips for removing it?

Is it a matter of just removing a few bolts (though hard to get to) and sliding it off the studs? So far I've gathered that the upper and lower should be pulled off as one part. While I'm at it, I may try to have a gasket for the TB water-jetted as well.

first remove the top part of the manifold that will make your life a lot easier. You dont have to remove the throttle body. Also you will need to loosen all the upper support bracket bolts but remove the ones from underneath the car. Theres 3 seperate bolts that need to be removed in order for the lower portion of the manifold to come off. In order to get to the front bracket you will need to remove all bolts from the alternator and slide it aside. that will give you access to one bolt 14mm socket. Another one is furthur back where the transmission is 14mm socket. and then you have another bolt furthur up which you will need a 12mm socket. also i removed the fuel rail to give easier access to the manifold bolts.
