Hi,

So my heater core is screwed up and leaking coolant all over the carpet and windshield. So far I've got the complete dash out and the heater box is half-way out but I'm tryin to pull it through the driver's side and the brake pedal is gettin in the way while the nipples for the firewall hoses are rubbin...oh man I'm in kind of a dilemma here. Anyway, I'm just wondering if this thing is supposed to go out the passenger side or out the driver's side and if there are any tricks to doing so??

Thanks a million,Nate

The only thing I can suggest at this piont is to take the blower box out and remove the screws that hold the evap. case in but don't remove the a/c lines from the engine compartment side and try to pull the evap. case out alittle and to the rt. side of the car and see if the heater box will come out that way. If not you may have to remove the evap. and that means dumping the a/c refrigerant and recharging the a/c. If you have to take out the evap. open the lines solwly, but this should be done by a shop to reclaim the refrigerant but you are stuck with the car half apart so you don't have to many chooses.
