Removing Grille shell from 2007 Sentra

A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

Anybody have pictures on how to remove the front grille from an 07 Sentra. I'm getting contradicting instructions from Street Scene and the Nissan FSM. One states remove 4 fasteners and the other says remove 2 screws, WTF?

Nissan FSM is the only one should should follow. Street scene is a generalization of multible car grills.

I have pics for the SE-R, but that grill and bumper is different then those with the 2.0L So it may not apply.

I was thinking the same thing, but I might have been a little dense yesterday since I was in a really bad mood when I attempted to remove the grille .

There are 6 fasteners holding the grille to the bumper. I trilled pulling them upwards and pushing them downwards, and they wouldn't budge at all. I didn't want to use to much force since I wasn't sure which way was the right way.

The two 10mm plastic heads come off, pull the grill forward, and use your fingers to release the clips.

That's it?! I felt like an idiot trying to get it off the other day and couldn't. I'll try again sometime this week.

Thanks!

I had to force the clips out pretty hard, so dont worry too much about breaking them. I took my grill out a while ago to paint it black on my 07. don't use your bare fingers though, i recommend putting a t shirt in front of the clips then pushing with your fingers so that it wont hurt you. snappping back in is easy as well.

Good idea about the t-shirt since my grip has been crimpled by my cat, little jerk bit my finger to bone! If it cools off later tonight, I might give it a shot.

Use a flat head screw driver to pry the grill out of it's tabs, it's alot easier, just be patient and don't force it too hard, they will give way . A flashlight is handy as well.

I wish I had taken pictures when I did this but the reason why I couldn't pry the grilled out was because there are two tabs at each end of the grille that is attached to the bumper. Without releasing these two tabs, I couldn't move the grille. These tabs aren't mention at all on the FSM.
