umm im not to sure but most of my friends have just back plates, but ill look it up! Thanks leo, thatll do just fine!RubenTheRogue wrote:There are buttons that you can gt to fit into the holes, search on here, they've been discussed...
but first, you sure you dont need a front plate in CT?
We got into an accident with a car that swiped the front end and tore the license plate bracket clean off. The new bumpner that the shop put on and painted didn't have a bracket or mounting holes (that I can see). I wouldn't really recommend this approach...SenorPayne7 wrote:Is there anyway to cover them up cleanly or anyone have any ideas?
Not to hijack the thread, but I noticed that the front license plate blocks where the big eye bolt for towing screws in. In WI, we're required to have the front plate, so I decided to keep a small screwdriver in the same compartment as the tow bolt, just in case. It would suck to break down or something and then have to rip the front plate off because no screwdriver on hand. I usually have my Gerber, but you never know.takeshi wrote:We got into an accident with a car that swiped the front end and tore the license plate bracket clean off. Not with Doyle's budget, if it passes.mpattdu wrote:

on my bumper, the holes were drilled from the inside out, so there is an "eruption" of scrap plastic on the outside. How should i go about removing that with out scratching my bumper around it?Leo2005 wrote:Bumperplugs.com is offering plugs to cover the hole. I think this is the best could be done unless you want fix that in body shop and repaint the whole bumper.
I ordered my Bumper Plugs and installed them yesterday. $33.90 which included Fedex 2nd day home delivery. Color was matched perfectly (Phantom White). I carefully drilled out holes with a 1/4" drill bit (per instructions). Then I carefully smoothed out what was left of the hole eruptions with the blunt end of a screwdriver handle. I Poped the bumper plugs in and it looks great. Total time less than 5 minuets. Highly recommended fix for those ugly bumper holes. Photos to come....SenorPayne7 wrote:yeah idk man, but i was gonna do a small file of some kind, much appretiated.
Since I won't be traveling to CT any time soon I'm ok. In GA and other surounding southeast states we do not need front tags.tinstar wrote:fyi...i am a law enforcement officer in ct. you are required to display a front registration plate.
It's a secondary offense around here (you won't get pulled over for it but they'll tack it on if they pull you over for something else). Not sure what it's like in your state though.SenorPayne7 wrote:whats the outcome if i get caught without a front license plate? fine?
