I have a 2008 G35x with standard audio and factory satellite radio.

I bought the car used but a factory speaker test (press and hold the "settings" button while turning up the volume button will get you to a test screen) confirms a standard 6 speaker system.

I am surprised at the quality of sound I am getting so perhaps I need to see if the stock speakers were replaced or if I want to replace them at all.

Q - Can you remove the factory amp and then add an aftermarket amp to power door speakers/components?

I have done this on a couple of my older cars with no issues but
I am finding infiniti's are quirky when it comes to aftermarket items.

2nd Q - I will use the factory headunit. Does it have rca outputs for an amp wiring kit?

I am definitely deadening the doors. I am hearing too much vibration.

3rd Q - Has anyone done this? I would love to hear some feedback on this issue as well.

Take care.

Hi there, I had this same problem the moment i got my car the only bad thing that the door woofer was blown which made it much worse.
Ok so Removing the amp will be a bad idea figured that out. Nothing will work sound wise or if your car has the rca outs. You will have to tap into the wire harnest with a LOC Converter. I swapped out all the speakers in the car other than the dash and the tweeters in the doors.

Here are the sizes.
sonic electronics nor cruchfield could help me lol. So I finally took initiative to remove some of them. There are 10 speakers in total. Sizes are as follows.
Front Dash: 3.5"
Front Driver and Passanger doors: 10" woofer, 2" tweeter and i did not remove the small one close to the window.
Back Doors are 6.5"
Rear Deck: 10" woofer.

4 Sony XS-GT1638F 6-1/2, and a 10" Kicker CVR with a Memphis 500w for voice and 300w MTX for the sub going to replace this with a free air sub in the next month with this one Infinity 100.9W.

Sounds Amazing Now. :mike
