I'm disassembling my turbo to check it and measure my exhaust/intake wheels.

The compressor came off easy enough, but the exhaust isn't cooperating. Ive hit it with a hammer a few times as hard as i can holding it in the air but no luck so far. Its soaking in PB blaster right now.

I was thinking of taking the oxy/act torch and warming the whole exhaust housing so it expands a little, but the other mechanic says it could ruin the exhaust wheel. I highly doubt that since it can deal with 1500deg EGT's.

Any way Id appreciate any help.

haha I just broke it. I was trying to be as careful as possible, but when the exhaust housing fell off, it chipped the wheel. And it was almost straight up and down. Oh well I'll just get something else. And all I did was let the pb blaster soak and keep whacking away at it.

So CAUTION don't remove your stock rb20/25 exhaust housing IF you care about your turbo!

Oh yea and the housing has cracks in it any way. I'll grab my digi cam and get pics of it tonight.
