I washed the car today and got nearly everything off of the surface, except for the exhaust nastiness right above the muffler. Do any of you guys have any recommendations for products, that will remove the exhaust residue from the paint?

i don't know, try cleaner waxing the entire car, then polish waxing it. and another thing, try washing the car more often. if you have stuff like that built up around your exhaust tip, you couldnt' have washed the car for a long time. that, or your car smokes like a mofo.

or you could spend the afternoon claybarring your car, and make it shiny and purdy.

It's probably not that he doesn't wash his car often, he probably doesn't run a cat. In that case, there is going to be a lot of build up.

Nah, I'm just lazy and drive in LA. I know that even after I clean the car, it's going to be severely dirty again in two weeks time. I do run a cat, but the KA24 that's in there now has been seriously abused by the previous owner. =/

It seems like the 'clay bar' will be the way to go. Maybe if I get most of the grime off, then get a couple of good coats of wax on there... it might be easier to keep clean every couple of weeks.

I'm going to go research clay bars now. =)
