removing dashboard

has anybody removed the steering wheel title gadget? It seems like I have to remove that inorder to remove the dashboard.

The dashboard won't come off unless the instument panel is off and I can't remove the instument panel because the steeering wheel tilt gadget is in the way.

HELP!

The FSM doesn't show it in the pictures.

You have to drop the steering wheel first. If you undo the bolts from the bottom of the bracket you should be able to push the wheel down enough to get everything off.

I tried that. I have taken off the entire cast/caseing of the steeringwheel column and yet the little lever for the tilt wont allow the panel to slide off. I can't even pull it out and then up to remove it.

Once you take those off, you can pop the front part of the bezel off. The part where the headlight buttons and crap are. Then you should have room to pull the rest out.

No problem, I've done dash removals enough to hate them. :-) Let me know when you get to the harness, that's when the real fun starts!
