Does anyone know how to remove it? I'm looking to put an LED in there with a switch so when I open it will light up coz it's pretty dark at night I looked from the footwell area and saw 2 clips but when i put the screwdriver in from the front nothing seemed to give. May have to look again

i was actually wondering this also. i just prewired my amp so when i install a deck in my car its all ready to go. i was gonna wire my remote wire to the cig adapter but realized it would be better to do it when i get my deck.

**I just tried and couldn't find the description using search****

1st pull up the silver shift box. It will pop up with proper pressure

then, use a flat head screw driver and pop up the tabs where the storage box and shift area meet up

afterwards, you'll need to move around the gear shift knob, disconnect the wires at the bottom of the shift knob, turn your shift box 90 degrees so that it slightly hangs over your passenger seat

then, you can pull out the storage box

***note**** it will be a VERY tight squeeze, but it will come out. However, I would suggest using painters tapt to cover the shift box to prevent it from getting scratched
