how much do your friends charge? lol, jk. Seriously if you can get like 8-10 guys, you can move it yourself. Your BEST BET though is to find a fork lift.

hehe...uuuum. wanna use the method i did? heres what you do:

1) pick up clip from local shipping yard on a uhaul car towing trailer (the kind that you load the whole car on, not the gay 2 wheel tow dolly) and have them put the clip on the trailer with a forklift.2) drive it to your house3) when you get to your house, you will notice you cant get a hoist in on the clip. dont worry as there is a much quicker and easier way. go get some rope.4) tie the clip to a fence, the garage, the house, anything sturdy. 5) now drive away from whatever you tied the clip to. the clip will simply slide off the trailer and onto the ground!

you might think this is retarded, but the uhaul car trailer is very low and the clip will protect the engine and keep it from touching the ground. its only a 6 or 8 inch drop. worked for me.

I did basically the same thing. We used the trailer we use to move spa's around at work. It's probabally only 8" off of the ground. Luckily, when we built it, we designed it to move stuff about the size of a clip on and off of it, so ours tilts up. We simply loaded it off of the truck onto the trailer and then tipped the trailer up and the clip slid right off.

I just got the cherry picker and used it on the clip. It has more than enough strength to hold it and keep it in the air.

Does no one know of liftgates any more? A thousand times easier than the forklift and much less dangerous that a bunch of dudes. I guess maybe some (lesser) trucking companies don't have liftgate trucks?

Most companies who sell/ship engines will ask you if you would like to receive your clip on a truck with a liftgate, mine came like this and the extra charge was $50...Other than that,I have used an engine hoist but had 2 or 3 people helping too.

lol, those all sound like really good ideas. That was the only thing stoping me from getting the motor. Now I got some ideas.

Be prepared guys to answer A LOT of questions while i'm installing this motor. This is the first motor install i've ever done. hehe. Can't wait to be CA powered!!

Liftgate + two motors on ~1.5 pallets = I can't believe we didn't lose the motors off the back of the gate or get killed keeping them from rolling over

Besides my recent "no spark" thread all my questions have been answered using the search function on the CA forum...good luck.

I think i'm gong to go, "borrow" one of the rolling liners from Home Depot tomorrow. And hopefully it can handle the weight of the clip on it.
