I'm about to begin to install an USA-Spec iPod adapter to my Bose stereo. Does anyone have any pictures of how to remove my Bose unit in a 2000 i30? I want to make sure I remove it properly and that I do not break any component.

wrap whatever tool you are using as a panel popper in cloth so that it doesnt scratch your dash

Would a unit like this give me an aux input for 2003 i35 that doesn't have one currently?

Usually, you can use an adapter to make the CD changer input an Aux In.

Also http://www.carstereohelp.com has a pictorial how to, but now they're "charging a fee", where it used to be free.

What type of aux are you trying to install?

I currently have the internal 6CD changer, but I'd like to direct connect my iPOD to the system.

Does that comment include the internal CD changer as well?

I purchased a USA Spec Nissan iPod Interface. It connects directly to the back of the head unit. What I would do is call Crutchfield and ask them if it would still work in an internal 6disc unit. I am not sure if it would or not. The Crutchfield team seems to know what they are talking about when it comes to this sort of thing. Go to this link http://www.crutchfield.com/S-M...S#Tab to view information about the system I got and for a phone number.

Most likely it won't, as the HU with the built in 6-disc does not have a CD Changer DIN plug on the back. I know this applies to the Pathfinder/QX4 6-disc HU, and can only imagine their very similar units (on the inside and back).
