removing amber in tails-where to get white lens material

I have an extra set of usdm tails and i want to remove the amber (heat gun and a putty knife...) I want to replace it with white like the clearcorners.com ones...

anyone know where to get the white lens?

maybe it'd be easier to just get acrylic and spray it with some sort of frosty ****?or sand it with a rough grit?

ideas? anyone?

no clue ive been waiting on someone to give some advise as to where to get that stuff too...cuz i really want to do that...but i dont want to pay $300+ for clear corners to do it...does that stuff for lighting come in different thicknesses?

well i bought it.. ill take pictures of my progress (goin home in 7 mins to try and cut it and then pull apart tails to make em - ill even post a DYI guide if im successful.

Have fun with water filled tail lights. Apparently, ClearCorners has had some issues with sealing out moisture...Like once the lights are opened they are nearly impossible to seal once again. Good luck, and keep us posted...

i cut the stuff for the white lenses... looks good actally... -- im using black weather glue and pressure caulk to seal em up again. If it doesnt work they're my spare tails so i wont be upset... if it works tho

i took some pics of the material - ill post when i get farther tomorrow... i had to help a friend with his car tonight and didnt get much done.

also i have a ps pump leaking... so i have my work for th enext few days - and then in a few weeks ill have a new hybrid t28/t04B and some 450 dsm injectors (jgy rail)...

i also need paint soon-its a busy spring...

I sealed mine with clear silicone when I put the new lences in. I haven't had my car out this year so I don't know how well it will keep the water out.

sry i been so slow guys - i have something big and black in my garage hindering my ability to finish these up... oh and its taking my time all up too.

heres what i mean.

this is from day1... we're on day 3 and the motor is out and the 6bolt motor is awaiting its newly machined head... then it'll go back together - btw its a 7bolt(2g) gettin a 6bolt(1g) swap for those of u unfamiliar with DSMs

Theres a set of those tailights on ebay right now red and clear/white only. Last I checked it was at 70 bucks. Raretrick also has them, but for big bucks. They are made by G Corporation.
