Does anyone have an idea about removing the lettering and numbering from the vehicle. What is the best way to do it? The car is a few days old, but was on the lot for a few weeks, has the sun done too much of a job on the paint?

Yep just use a hairdryer to heat it up and some fishing line to take them off like smithers said. Make sure you go in between the lettering and the glue and not the glue and the paint! Clean it off with some goo gone or whatever, wash it up and maybe wax it or whatever and your good to go!

that will work or to make it easier on you. just use the line to grab a corner of the letter and pull straight back on it. it should pull the tape off with it. cause depending on what color your car is... if you rub too much you can put swirl marks in the paint if you arent careful

it was really easy, i used fishing line, and didnt have to heat the letters up. although it was blazing hot that day. but it took a little over 5 minutes taking the letters and glue off.

You can also use dental floss (if you don't have any fishing line lying around like me).

dental floss is the way to go. if for some reason you get behind the glue to the clear coat of the car it's won't do anything to it. so far as heating it up, the glue doesn't really get hard even in cold weather. just work the dental floss right to left while pulling down (between the glue and emblem, not the glue and car) and presto. you'll be debadged in a matter of minutes.

I used Tooth Floss. It was pretty hot outside...it came off like Butter. Ok not butter...I had to do a little sawing action with the floss. It came right off. Floss in between the letter and the glue...NOT THE CAR PAINT AND GLUE. The letter came right off. Then I just rubbed the glue off with my finger. Took me 5 mins. Looks clean. It was like 100 outside when I did it so I didnt need a hair dryer. Good thing I park in the garage. My car would bake.
