I apologize if this is an existing topic, but I have searched and can't find out how to remove the air duct to access my driver side light assembly.

I just got some Sylvania SilverStars and went to put them in, but when I opened the hood I was surprised to find NO SCREWS holding down the air duct. Instead there are flat, plastic things that make it look as if it isn't meant to come off - that's impossible, of course. I was thinking of trying a thin pry or flat screwdriver, but am afraid of cracking the plastic.

Is there a special tool or something? I've never seen this before. Thanks in advance for any help.

That's what you do...pry plastic clips with screwdriver. Then you remove the intake with your hands. The worst case scenario you would have to go to dealership or online replacement parts and get a new clips. They're cheap anyway about $.50 ea.

Almost Leo...

If you try to pry the whole clip, you'll break it.

The clip is in 2 pieces. You have to pull up the center portion or 'pin' using a wide flat screwdriver. You may need to work around the pin in several locations gently prying until it comes loose. When you get the pin about 1/4" out, the main part of the clip should be loose and can be removed by hand.

Installation is the reverse... insert the clip, then push the pin to lock it in place.
