Hey what's ^. Just removed taillights on 90 fb .. I had a water leak in trunk for some time , so I decided to just remove lights and apply silicone.. Now here's my question >> what's the surefire technique of applying silicone in this situation?? I just layered it around the paneling where the tailights go and not on the actual taillights themselves.. is this procedure the best way to prevent leak or should I have done something else??

Oh yes also, should I have let the silicone set on the panel or tailight.. Or , the way I did it, just apply a layer and mush the taillight and paneling together right away to form a bond.. Thanks guyz and galz
